With a little research I learned the odds of winning $600 on a $2 scratch off is, wait for it; 1 in 60,000! Those are some intense odds, I will admit.
This fortuitous event occurred during the hour and half drive it takes to get back to my home, in the pouring rain, in the dark of night, from a very posh, ultra expensive, very rude bridal shop whose name I won’t reveal.
I am lucky to have amazing, true friends and feel honored to be included as a member of the bridal party for my friend Chrissy’s big day (which is FRIDAY!). However, being unemployed, makes celebrating tough sometimes. I had been bawling at the bridal store because I am so broke I couldn’t afford the alterations needed for the bridesmaid dress.
I reaaalllly needed the money somehow I got it have faith.
One change in the events preceding the purchase and someone else could be gleeful today. If I hadn’t spent two hours at the store, if a massive downpour didn’t cause me to wait until the storm slowed, if the highway hadn’t flooded forcing me to detour through an unsavory neighborhood. If I just kept pushing and had not decided to stop for a bathroom break and to stretch my legs that ticket would have gone to someone else.
This blind luck has helped restore some of mine.
The WINNING ticket!
