Wine country. Seriously, who doesn’t like wine country?
The crisp air, the perfectly aligned rows of vines bursting with grapes.
Even if you are not a wino, like myself, how can you not appreciate the natural ethereal beauty of wine country?
All this time I have been living not an hour from one of the worlds most famous, most established and above all most beautiful wine making regions; and I have done nada about it. Well; I am finally going to explore Napa!
Yes, Napa Valley; now considered an epicenter of wine and epicurean delights it only emerged and proved the exquisite quality of their product to the world about 50 or so years ago.
I am super excited, especially since I get to share this with my awesome cousin, in from Florida. Love ya lady, you cannot image how good it feels to be around real family. Also, actually can’t recall, though I am fairly sure – I believe this is on my before I turn 30 bucket list. How appropriate I check this one off right as the 1 month mark approaches (tomorrow eek!).
Okay. It’s early, the sun not yet risen but I gotta go. Hey, wine lovers don’t wait for nobody, I got a Ferry to catch!

***UPDATE: The past two weeks have been, well, fairly difficult. Not necessarily in a bad way. All good things will come from the troubles I have had to face.
Despite the hardships 2013 has begun bright in shadow of dark year.
Yesterday, yet another auspicious sign peeked it’s head out. Out of about say 30-40 people that accompanied my cousin and I on the Napa wine tour; I WON.
Later, while totally engrossed in ravaging the delectable pate I had purchased at the Dean and Deluca across the street, in the background I faintly hear what sounds like my last name. It was! I had won! My card had been picked from the bowl. I won. I am a winner!
I can only hope this is yet another sign the tides of my life are turning. That the pain is coming to an end. That I can move forward and be the person I was truly meant to be.
